INT. RESTAURANT - EVENING PRIYA (30) and LEON (33) sit across a small candlelit table. The menus sit unopened. A long pause. LEON Can I tell you something kind of embarrassing? PRIYA Please. Yes. LEON I almost cancelled tonight. Twice. PRIYA (surprised laugh) I cancelled and then uncancelled and then almost cancelled again. LEON What made you uncancelel? PRIYA My roommate took my phone and responded yes before I could stop her. You? LEON I remembered you said you loved the same obscure movie nobody has ever heard of. PRIYA And that was enough? LEON (quietly) That was everything. A beat. Something shifts between them. END OF SCENE
