INT. SARAH'S APARTMENT - NIGHT The phone rings three times. SARAH (28) stares at the screen: "Dad". She answers. SARAH (quietly) Hey. It's me. SILENCE. Then: FATHER (V.O.) I know. I've been waiting. Sarah closes her eyes. SARAH I found mom's journals. I read them. All of them. Another pause. FATHER (V.O.) I was going to tell you. I just... I didn't know how. SARAH (voice breaking) When were you going to tell me she wrote to you every week for fifteen years and you never once wrote back? END OF SCENE
